ANNOUNCEMENT
WARNING CASES OF ACCESS AND FRAUD OF CANDIDATES THROUGH RECRUITMENT
Ho Chi Minh city, January 29th, 2023 - Recently, Navigos Group Vietnam Joint Stock Company (VietnamWorks) recorded some reports from candidates about non-transparent practices in recruitment activities of some employers using VietnamWorks services.
After receiving the feedback, we immediately investigated and determined that these were cases of violation, with many signs of approaching and defrauding candidates through recruitment activities. In order to protect our candidates and customers of VietnamWorks, we have made the decision to notify violations and stop providing services in accordance with the terms of service to VietnamWorks to those companies who object.
After being notified by VietnamWorks of the violation and stopping providing services, these subjects had negative reactions on social networking platforms, spreading false information about the incident and VietnamWorks' services, impacting the image of Navigos Group - VietnamWorks.
Through this announcement, VietnamWorks would like to recommend that Customers, Partners, and Employees increase their vigilance and report information to us when they notice any abnormalities during discussions with employers/candidates.
VietnamWorks will continue to tighten the process of verifying information and corporate/candidate identities, implement strict handling measures with support from authorities, to create a safe recruitment environment, as well as protect and ensure the rights of all employers/candidates.
To protect candidates' rights during the job search process on VietnamWorks, we:
Actively conduct activities to authenticate recruitment information.
Continuously display notifications reminding candidates to be vigilant throughout the application process - with employers showing the following signs:
♦ Contact candidates via unfamiliar platforms
♦ Ask candidates to take a survey
♦ Ask candidates to click on unfamiliar links
♦ Require candidates to pay fees
♦ Require candidates to participate in interviews on online messaging platforms
♦ Require candidates to participate in interviews at addresses that do not match the company's registered address, etc.
The notice displays a warning of some forms of fraud on the VietnamWorks website (first photo) and a detailed article instructing candidates to find a safe job on VietnamWorks (2nd and 3rd photos)
Provide the "Report" feature for jobs or companies with these signs of violation to VietnamWorks:
1. Report employer
2. Report the job
3. Send an English-Vietnamese bilingual email to candidates confirming the response to reporting violations for jobs or companies with these signs of violations to VietnamWorks
4. Send an Email about the company showing signs of violation to all candidates related to applying to this company.
As we are in difficult economic times, preparing for the peak recruitment and job search season, VietnamWorks recommends that job seekers increase vigilance to protect their own rights.
